Say Hello: It's a Contest!

This week is my favorite time of year.  Halloween is my favorite holiday, but nothing beats my my birthday.  My parents always made my special day a big deal, and I've carried that into adulthood.  But this year, I want to do something a little bit different. 

The best birthday gift I could think of was meeting and getting to know more people out there.  I always learn something new, am pushed to do something better, or get inspired by the amazing things other people are doing.  I started thinking about the best way to do that, and then I realized that it would be by asking of all you to help in a fun way:

The first question I'm sure you have is "well, that may be cool, but what can I win?"

Since the people I meet inspire me, I thought I'd find something that may inspire others to give away.  I fell in love with this:

The contest runs from today, 11/13/10- next Saturday, 11/20/10 at 11:59pm CST.  For each one of these things that you do, your name gets thrown in the contest drawing bucket.  So the more you do, the more chances you have to win.

• Comment on any of my blog posts: I've got something like 30 posts currently posted on the ThinkBlot site.  For each one you comment on (and it has to be at least one full sentence that makes sense!) you get an entry.  You can only comment on a post once for a content entry.
• Sign-up for the ThinkBlot newsletter: The super simple sign-up form is right to the right of this blog post.  This scores you one entry into the contest AND I will still give you a free blog evaluation as well.
• Like ThinkBlot on Facebook: Head on over to my Facebook page and liking it gets you on entry into the contest.  (For the current folks who already Like my page- lucky you!- you get this one entry automatically.)
• Follow ThinkBlot on Twitter: Following me on Twitter gets you one contest entry BUT, you need to send me a @message and use the super secret code phrase: "Hello- how are you?" to let me know the follow came as a result of this contest.  If you already follow me on Twitter, do the same thing to get your contest entry.  (You can only get one entry this way for the entire contest btw.)
• Retweet this blog post: If I catch you in the act of retweeting this contest blog post to your followers (using the Tweet button below or just in general) you get an entry into the contest.
• Refer-a-friend to the ThinkBlot Facebook page:  If you have a friend that likes my Facebook page based on your referral, you BOTH get an entry into the content.  In order for me to track it, your friend needs to comment on the page saying "Hello" and letting me know who referred them there.
• Share Your Favorite Blog: I'm always on the lookout for new blogs to read.  If you share a blog with me by commenting on this post or sending me an email at csmith@thinkblotcommunications.com, I'll add another entry for you.
